Bridging Education with Needy Children is an annual ongoing project to support the non-privileged students of Mauritius who are capable to continue secondary school education and build a career path.  For the year 2011, 26 needy students were identified for support to achieve a good standard of secondary schooling by providing prescribed text books and stationery. This book donation project contributes to eliminate the barriers depriving access to quality education for the poor and vulnerable children of Mauritius.

Our Vision, Our Goals:

To support the non privileged primary school leavers in their secondary school education and be part of the developing and growing Mauritius.

To continue supporting these needy students achieve their Higher School Certificate examination and further education path.

To match each needy student with an adoptive family who will embrace the follow up and educational career path.

You will experience the purpose of Bridging Education with Needy Children, an outcome of working together with primary schools to identify needy and also performing students of C.P.E examination.  These children are of very low income parents either divorced and or health problems, all with high financial difficulties. These are our children of tomorrow whose daily lives are surrounded by very poor localities with extreme difficult conditions and disadvantaged situations.

We will bring hope and opportunities to these children stepping into secondary education by providing all of their Form I text books prescribed by the admitting schools. Dictionary and stationery are part of their school bag.

Bridging Education with Needy Children is committed to make a difference in the lives of underprivileged children in Mauritius. These children are the future of the Island of paradise and every child has the right to be educated.
